Volunteers are the life blood our Foodbank. Your skills could be just what we need!
Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.
Volunteer at a centre
Centre volunteers urgently required at Rose Cottage, Twerton. Hours: Mondays 6pm – 7pm. Commitment is every week from December 2019. If interested please get in touch!
We are also looking for volunteers for our new Mulberry park centre opening in January 2020. Volunteers will welcome clients and help with distribution of food parcels. The centre will be located at The Hub, Mulberry Park, Combe Down. Hours: Wednesdays 2pm – 4pm and/or Saturdays 10am-12pm. Commitment is every week although may be rotated fortnightly depending on the availability of other volunteers. If interested please get in touch!
Monday van driver required. Van operates out of Batheaston warehouse. Drivers must be aged 30 -70, with a clean driving licence and no recent claims history. Hours: 9.30am – midday. Helping at a foodbank centre
Meet clients and give out food parcels. Have an informal chat with clients over a cup of tea, to discuss their situation and signpost to further support.
We are looking for a volunteer to work with the agencies of Bath who hold vouchers for Foodbank. This will involve setting up new agencies, ensuring the information is updated and monitoring the system to ensure the service is working well. The role entails entering and using information on a database.
This will entail a commitment of about 2 to 3 hours a week and attendance at the Management meetings once every 6 weeks.
