Tomorrow, Saturday 25th January 2020, will see the opening of the new Bath Foodbank centre at The Hub, Mulberry Park. After weeks of preparation, and multiple training session, our new volunteers will be opening the doors at 11am.
The Hub and Bath Foodbank have set up a warm and welcoming Foodbank centre, where local people who have been issued one of our food vouchers may come to collect a food parcel containing three days of food. Food vouchers are held by local professional and voluntary organisations that are on the front-line, supporting local people in need.
This new Foodbank centre will help Bath Foodbank reach more people in crisis, providing short-term food aid and, just as important, opportunities to listen and then empower visitors to move closer to a secure financial future.
The new centre will be open on Wednesday Afternoons 2pm-4pm and on Saturday mornings 10am-12pm. This will be the first centre we have to open on a saturday and will allow us to provide food to those in crisis on weekends.
