Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

How can I donate food?

If you would like to donate food to Bath Foodbank, please do this by buying in store and putting the item in one of the collection points. You can see where these are located here.

If you or someone you know have a larger donation of food, please email [email protected] to make an appointment to drop your donations to us.

Please note that we are not able to pick up your Christmas collections from you this year. Any donations will need to be dropped off via one of the options above.

Are you delivering foodbank parcels over Christmas?

Yes! Bath Foodbank is still delivering right up to and including Christmas eve.

Can I volunteer with the Foodbank on Christmas Day?

No – our projects are operating in a COVID-secure way, which means we have to limit the number of people in our buildings at any one time.  This means that we can have fewer volunteers on shift and do not need any additional volunteers over the Christmas period. Also, Bath Foodbank is not open on Christmas Day.

Thank you anyway for your interest – when we have new volunteer opportunities they will be displayed on our volunteer information page.

REVERSE ADVENT CALENDAR 2020

The Reverse Advent Calendar is here!

If you’re doing a Reverse Advent Calendar this year, we have put together some suggestions of items that you can collect. A printable version of this can be found HERE.

You will notice that our Reverse Advent Calendar doesn’t include any Christmas items this year – this is intentional, having learnt from the experience of previous years, and is to ensure that all items can be utilised by those in crisis not only throughout the festive period but also into the New Year. Items can be taken to any of the supermarket collection points listed HERE.

If you do collect any Christmas Items (e.g. Christmas Puddings, Variety chocolate/biscuit boxes, Mince Pies), we kindly ask that these are taken to one of our collection points by Wednesday 9th December at the latest, as this will ensure that all items are distributed in time for Christmas. Donations can be dropped off at any of our collection points listed HERE. Any Non-Christmas items can be dropped off in the New Year.

Wanting to donate to other aspects of Bath Foodbank this Christmas?

Bath Foodbank is solely run by local volunteers and we rely on community support to ensure we can help others in times of crisis.  To help enable us to continue to provide this support, you can make a financial donation. A single gift could secure someone’s future.
