The Ken Loach film, ‘I, Daniel Blake’ was shown on two occasions, in December 2016 and March 2017, at the Bath City FC ground. In addition to viewing this moving and thought-provoking film, several charities, of which the Bath Foodbank was one, were invited to speak about their work. The Bath Foodbank was invited to take a ‘bucket’ collection at the end, and those attending generously contributed a total of £1190 over the two evenings.
We are very grateful to Ken Loach and the management of the Bath City FC for hosting the event and for inviting us talk about the work of the Foodbank, and to receive donations from those attending. Thank you also to all who gave to support the work of the Bath Foodbank.
